Under administrative supervision of CTO, this position is responsible for overseeing the creation, implementing and testing of RFID and IoT software solutions
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of RFID and IoT software solution development, which includes:
Responsible for establishing RFID solution goals and objectives including commitment to project timelines and key development milestones;
Ensure product design objectives are consistent with end user requirements;
Analyze and report critical metrics during all phases of the software product lifecycle and process maturation;
Direct all new software product development to meet current and future business objectives;
Establish, communicate, and drive strategic- and tactical-level goals for the software department in response to organizational priorities;
Achieves product quality and performance requirements.
Ensures planning, direction and supervision of software team to perform all testing and support to RFID / IoT system solution, which includes:
Maintaining quality and production standards.
Establishing and implementing policy.
Ensure efficient project management to dependably deliver products in a timely manner.
Interface with internal and external customers to deliver software on schedule.
Reviewing new product specifications for systems solution requirements.
Manages Software Development Personnel, which includes:
Developing and communicating short-term and long-term goals and objectives;
Ensure appropriate resource levels and mix of development competencies among staff;
Mentor and develop software department personnel and lead recruiting efforts to enhance the organization;
Oversee the preparation of project staffing estimates, and monitor project status and skill set projections;
Providing training and assistance with advanced/complex technical issues.
Participates in peer support, team presentations and training activities; and
Contributes improvements to team practices, standards and processes.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of ten years professional related experience managing software developers/engineers required.
Professional oral and written communication skills required.
Thorough understanding of RFID products and solution required.
Decision-making ability and analytical thinking skills required.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Effective planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills required.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required, MSc preferred
