Calista Redmond, CEO of RISC-V International, expressed appreciation for China's contributions to the RISC-V community, and expected further cooperation at the 2nd Dishuihu Lake China RISC-V Industry Forum held in Shanghai on November 30, JW Insights reported.

“This meeting is a testament to the powers of collaboration in China and beyond,” she said. “We are honored to be part of this community and to help see the leadership of China across the 11 new domestic RISC-V chip products that are advancing IC design for China as well as expanding opportunity and collaboration globally.”
“As we watch, RISC-V continues to gain momentum across industries like data center, HPC, all the way to embedded IoT, automotive, handsets and mobile communications. These are all hugely important areas for innovation and opportunity both in China and beyond,” she added.
Founded in 2015, RISC-V International is the global non-profit home of the open standard RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), related specifications, and stakeholder community.
The organization has more than 3,100 RISC-V members across 70 countries, including many tech giants worldwide, to define RISC-V open specifications as well as convene and govern related technical, industry, domain, and special interest groups.
The forum, co-hosted by China RISC-V Industry Consortium (CRVIC) and VeriSilicon, aims to promote the partnership between Chinese RISC-V chip providers, and buyers and investment institutions. Eleven Chinese RISC-V companies introduced 11 new RISC-V chip products at the meeting.
