(JW Insights) May 23 -- Lenovo, the Chinese PC giant, established a partnership with Geely to jointly build an intelligent simulation platform to promote new vehicle research and development, announced Lenovo on May 22 via its WeChat official account.
The platform, powered by Lenovo's ThinkSystem servers and Neptune warm-water cooling technology, enables Geely to conduct over 12,000 virtual crash tests for each vehicle.
Lenovo's high-performance computing platform provides comprehensive support in process development, logistics simulation, dynamic analysis for new vehicle models, a 3D simulation database, and a lightweight display platform. This accelerates simulation data acquisition, enhances data security, and reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).
In addition, Geely has adopted Lenovo's hybrid cloud solution- xCloud, leveraging cutting-edge IT architecture to establish a diversified software ecosystem, said Lenovo.
