(JW Insights) Aug 14 -- China's leading power semiconductor supplier JSCJ (长晶科技) started as a fabless design company and expanded to include IDM (Integrated design and manufacturing). This strategy has worked to rank it among China's top ten power semiconductor enterprises in 2022 in China Semiconductor Industry Association's recent listing for the fourth consecutive time, JW Insights reported.
It started a fabless design company in 2018, headquartered in Nanjing, eastern China's Jiangsu Province. Through self-development, mergers, and acquisitions, it has built up its IDM capabilities.
As an IDM, JSCJ maintains 5-inch and 6-inch product manufacturing capabilities for discrete devices.
In its fabless operation, JSCJ has product lines of MOSFETs, IGBTs, and power management ICs with advantages in diodes and triodes. It continues to develops IGBTs and power management ICs.
By the end of 2022, the company has 48 invention patents, 120 utility model patents, and 69 integrated circuit layout designs.
Currently as new technologies such as carbon neutrality, carbon peaking, new energy vehicles, 5G, and AI develop, they increases demand for power semiconductors, which are the essential components for power conversion in the expanding applications. They bring new opportunities for global suppliers. Chinese companies like JSCJ will benefit more from the trend.
