(JW Insights) Sep 27 -- China’s auto design company IAT (阿尔特) and Zhipu AI (北京智谱) have formed a strategic partnership to create innovative applications of cognitive intelligent large models in the field of automotive research and development and foster a new ecosystem, IAT announced on September 26.
The two parties will establish a software platform for developing cognitive intelligent large model and build a database and industry knowledge repository for the entire lifecycle of automotive R&D. They will work to push the application of large model in various areas, including autonomous driving development, intelligent cabin systems, human-vehicle sensor connectivity, enterprise digitization, and the automotive aftermarket.
Founded in 2007, Beijing-based IAT focuses on the development of vehicle and core components. It was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2020 and has five R&D centers in the US, Japan, Italy, Beijing and Shanghai.
Zhipu AI is dedicated to creating a new generation of cognitive intelligence universal models and introducing the business concept of Model as a Service (MaaS).
Its GLM architecture, jointly developed with Tsinghua University's KEG Laboratory, demonstrates advanced and leading features in terms of architecture and algorithms. The company’s AI cognitive intelligent model is compatible with mainstream GPU chips both domestically and internationally, covering the entire process from training to inference, according to the company.
