(JW Insights) Oct 16 -- The Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, also called Beijing E-Town, said that it is planning to launch its 1000P public AI computing center early next year.
The next phase of the plan involves the construction of a 2000P commercial AI computing center to provide a foundational guarantee for cutting-edge technological innovation.
This year, Beijing E-Town took the lead in launching the first integrated project in China to combine computing resources, operational services, and scenario applications. The computing scheduling service platform has completed key technical verification and instance verification of large models, biomedical applications, and scientific calculations.
At the same time, Beijing International Data Laboratory, International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) China Competence Center, Kaiyun Parallel Space, and Glandtrust have also settled in E-Town. The data industry chain has been further improved in top-level design, openness, circulation, operation and security.
In terms of digital industrialization, Beijing E-Town is taking the lead nationwide in constructing a new type of digital infrastructure, achieving full coverage of intelligent connected roads across a 160-square-kilometer area. It has created a city-level native data perception base with real-time dynamic data on vehicles, roads, and the environment at its core, according to a Beijing E-Town official.
As for industrial digitalization, E-Town focuses on the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. Located in the southeastern part of China’s capital city, Beijing E-Town is currently home to 16 intelligent factories and 15 digital workshops, ranking first in the city in terms of quantity.
