(JW Insights) Apr 20 -- Huawei forecast that global artificial intelligence computing power will increase 500 times by 2030, and the company will keep investing in domains like connectivity, computing, storage, and cloud to help accelerate digital transformation, according to Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s rotating chairwoman and chief financial officer on April 19.
She addressed Huawei’s 2023 Global Analyst Summit held in Shenzhen, southern China’s Guangdong Province. Digitalization is a blue ocean for the whole industry and the global spending on digital transformation will reach $3.41 trillion in 2026, said Meng.
Huawei will continue to improve its general-purpose computing power and AI computing capabilities in diverse application scenarios, and it expects to drive the development of the ecosystem with open-source software, said a China Daily report.
Meng is now on her first on-duty period as rotating chairwoman of Huawei, which began April 1 and will last until September 30.
