China’s SoC startup V-Silicon teams up with IC design and IP provider VeriSilicon to create intelligent ultra-high-definition display technology solutions

(JW Insights) Jul 5 -- V-Silicon(威视芯半导体), a Chinese sytem on chip (SoC) provider, teamed up with leading IC design and IP provider VeriSilicon(芯原股份) recently to develop intelligent ultra-high-definition display technology solutions, JW Insights learned.

By combining V-Silicon’s cutting-edge ultra-high-definition video display technology with VeriSilicon’s intelligent pixel processing IP series, the two companies aim to enhance the video image display experience for applications such as cloud gaming, cloud desktop, smart TVs, commercial displays, projection, automotive, security surveillance, medical imaging abd AR/VR. 

Given the increasing importance of intelligent ultra-high-definition display technology in today’s technological landscape, various applications demand exceptional video image display experiences. The partnership between WiseVision Semiconductor and Pixel Originals will meet these demands and deliver superior video image display experiences, said the two companies.

Founded in 2018 and based in Hefei, eastern China’s Anhui Province, V-Silicon is an IC design company providing SOC and turnkey solutions for smart TV, smart set-top box (STB), and machine vision. Its products are mainly used in smart TV, smart business displays, smart projection, smart STB and AI audio/video system devices, and other fields.

The Shanghai-based VeriSilicon was founded in 2001 and listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2022. It is a leading Chinese IC design and IP provider and has seven design and R&D centers in China and the US, and 11 sales and customer support offices worldwide, according to its website.
